Legal Alert: Longer leave for parents
Author: Goście

We invite you to read and share your thoughts on our June Legal Alert, in which we briefly and concisely discuss the major changes resulting from the recent amendment of the Labour Code.

On 10 June 2013 President of Poland Bronisław Komorowski signed into law the Act of 28 May 2013 Amending the Labour Code and Certain Other Acts. The act introduces the new institution of “parental leave,” available to all parents of children born in 2013 who pay contributions for sickness insurance (and thus not only parents working under an employment contract, but also, for example, under a mandate contract), as well as parents who are on maternity leave or additional maternity leave as of the effective date of the act (17 June 2013).
